Music: The Universal Language
The process in which we took in making this Israeli music documentary was something of a personal journey and group vision that we created at the beginning of Write On. Music is one thread of humanity that is undeniably emotion-driven. We all knew that there was something special in the way that music brought together so many different people from all around the world. This idea was our driving force for our documentary from Day One.
We were so fortunate to be able to get many unique insights to Israeli music through our interviews with world renowned musicians such as Shlomo Bar, Ivri Lider, and Idan Raichel, who have sold 200,000 and 300,000 records respectively. and additionally, just being able to go to Israel and seeing the beauty of what this small, but diverse country has to offer. Not only does this accomplishment prove what passion and conviction for beliefs can do, but also how we learned to have a strong voice in a society that tells us we are too young to understand the complicated situation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We are proud to present The Universal language, a unique insight into the power of what music can truly produce.
