Israeli Universities.
Founded in 1925, Hebrew University, like all other Israeli colleges and universities, has always admitted Arab students. Today, Arabs make up 20 percent of the 23,000 full-time students. Arab students—including Muslim, Christian, Druze, and Bedouin—come from all over Israel and the West Bank. Inside the classroom, Arab students say they are treated the same as Jewish students. Says one Arab student, “Absolutely no discrimination exists between any student academically or administratively.” The real Israel is different from the Israel in the news.
